Explosion Proof enclosures are designed to provide protection against an internal explosion when operated in a hazardous gas or dust environment. They also prevent enclosed heat generating mechanisms from causing external surfaces to reach temperatures capable of igniting explosive gas-air mixtures in the surrounding atmosphere. ECM explosion proof starters are made to meet all requirements and inspection standards. Explosion proof enclosures can be equipped with a watertight gasket for Type 4 specifications.
